>     Overview     <

This package includes my interpretation of an improved animated rat. My "Terms of Use" are 
simple and to the point:

Ratty is made freely available for limited non-commercial, educational, and personal 
use only, or for fair use as defined in the United States copyright laws. (Specifically,  
it is OK for use in Thief fan missions.) 

It is NOT permitted to sell any of the contents of this package in modified or unmodified form, 
or where a product you are selling is wholly or in part derived from the contents of this 
package. In other words: Please do not sell any of the contents (modified or not) by itself or 
repackaged by you.

If you do use Ratty in your mission, a mention of me in your acknowledgements as your source
for the animated Ratty would be nice. Ratty was based on a free, unattributed, low poly model 
that I found on the web and then animated by modifying the original mesh into six running poses. 
I have since seen what may be the same model for sale at http://www.the3dstudio.com. That model 
is identified as having been created by ozgur saral. If it is the same model, attribution to 
ozgur saral may also be in order.

Unzip all the files to your Thief / Dromed directory.



> Suggested  Usage <


1) Create new archetypes: 
	Physical > Creature > Animal > Small Animal > Rat > Ratty
	Physical > Debris > Remains > DeadRat > DeadRatty

2) Make the following changes to Ratty:
	AI > AI Core > Movement turn rate: 1500.00
	AI > AI Core > Movement max speed: 4.25
	AI > AI Core > Team: Neutral
	AI > AI Core > AI: SimpleNC
	Tweq > ModelsState: {[None], [None], 0, 0}
	Tweq > Models: {Continue; NoLimit, Sim; TellAi; JitterLow, JitterHi; 30; Ratty0; Ratty1; 
		Ratty2; Ratty3; Ratty4; Ratty5
	Shape > Model Name: Ratty0
	Act/React > Receptrons: for all damaging stims (Weapon, Poke, Slash, Bash, etc.) make the 
		Reaction to be Abort. This makes Ratty invulnerable. Since I don't think that my
		dead rat model is all that great, this is advised.
	Links > Corpse: DeadRatty; SelfCleansingBloodStain  (optional)
	Mataproperty > AI_Behaviors > AI_B_Gen > M-DoesPatrol
	Dark Gamesys: Air Supply: 1000

3) Make the following changes to DeadRatty:
	Physics > Model > Controls: {[None], 0.00; 0.00; 0.00; 0.00; 0.00; 0.00; 0.00; 0.00; 0.00}
	Physics > Model > Type: {Sphere; 2; FALSE; FALSE}
